Bernhard Ullrich was born on 9.8.1965 in Munich and works as a musician, music teacher, arranger and composer in Grünwald, just outside Munich. He completed his studies in piano and clarinet at the Leopold-Mozart Conservatory in Augsburg. In 2006 he began an advanced course in jazz and popular music at the High School for Music and the Performing Arts in Frankfurt.

 

Performances and recordings as a clarinettist and saxophonist with many artists including: Charly Antolini, Roberto Blanco, Dusko Goykovich, Max Greger sen. und jun., Bibi Johns, Oskar Klein, Bernd Lhotzky, Harald Rueschenbaum, Ambros Seelos and Hugo Strasser.

 

Concerts in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Finland, Italy, USA, Brazil and Japan.

 

Engagements with the orchestra of the Munich State Theatre on the Gärtnerplatz and the Bavarian State Orchestra, Munich under Zubin Mehta among others, as well as with the Munich Symphony Orchestra and the Augsburg Municipal Theatre Orchestra. Bernhard Ullrich also performs as a soloist and is the musical director of the “Wine & Roses Orchestra” and leader of the Eching Big Band.

 

Film- and TV appearances in the Knoff-Hoff-Show (1990s), in the films “Der König von St. Pauli” (1997), “Gegen Ende der Nacht” (1998), in the ARD series “Marienhof” (2005) and in the ZDF music show “Eine große Nachtmusik” (2006)

 

Prize-winner in the composition competition of the Association of Munich Sound Artists (Verband Münchner Tonkünstler) (1996).

 

Artistic engagements on the cruise liners “Aida” and “MS Deutschland” (“The Dream Boat”)
